To improve and safeguard scientific excellence of projects and scientific competences of PhD candidates, post-docs and staff members is crucial to the ambition of PE&RC to be world leader, and therefore a core issue in PE&RC. A double anonymous review system for all new PhD projects has been implemented, focusing on quality and realistic perspectives. A system to continuously monitor the scientific productivity and quality of the various groups and individuals within the research groups is in place. The main objective of the implemented monitoring system is to further enhance the quality of the output and the scientific prominence of the staff members.
