C0221, Forum Building, Wageningen Campus
Professor Don Ort is a distinguished photosynthetic biophysicist from the University of Illinois. Recently, he has been focussing on the problem of how to improve photosynthesis to meet scocietal needs, a field in which he has co-authored some of the key papers and reviews and has resulted in him being the leader of the Gates Foundation RIPE programme.
Don will give a key-note address at the Wageningen University DIES on the 9th of March. Given his presence in Wageningen, we take the occasion to organise a mini-symposium on the 10th of March to honour Don’s visit and expertise.
The theme and title of the symposium is ‘Optimising photosynthesis for societal needs’. During this meeting we will hear about the latest progress and ideas from professor Don Ort, colleagues from Wageningen University and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU).
