Overleaf Professional now available for everyone with a WUR-account

WUR is now subscribed to Overleaf Commons. Overleaf is a collaborative cloud-based LaTeX editor used for writing, editing and publishing scientific documents. It partners with a wide range of scientific publishers to provide official journal LaTeX templates, and direct submission links.

With the new subscription, all employees and students with an active WUR-account can upgrade their free Overleaf account to a professional account (click here for instructions). All new accounts created with a WUR-email address will automatically benefit from this subscription. With a professional account, you will have added functionality, like track changes, collaborating with more than 2 people, seeing the history of a document, integrating with GitHub and your reference manager and much more. You can also collaborate with people outside WUR and they too will be able to use the extra functionality of the professional version of Overleaf on that project.

Because WUR is serious about data, Overleaf has undergone the WUR whitelisting and GDPR check for confidential data and has passed.

With this subscription comes support from Overleaf. If you have questions about how to get access, how Overleaf works or you have LaTeX related questions you can contact the Overleaf helpdesk at support@overleaf.com. Servicedesk IT or Servicedesk Facilities will not be able to help you with this.

There are a lot of instructional articles and resources: https://www.overleaf.com/learn and free webinars with varying levels and topics (live options and pre-recorded on-demand sessions): https://www.overleaf.com/events/webinars.

Did you already have a paid subscription linked to your Overleaf-account? You can get a refund for the remaining period of your subscription. You can also contact Overleaf support for this.
