Scope

Symposium Old forests New forests.jpgIn line with Prof. Frans Bongers' farewell speech, the symposium is entitled “Old forests - New forests: shifting paradigms”. In the morning we will focus on old-growth tropical forests, and in the afternoon on new, young secondary tropical forests and restoration initiatives.
We will discuss the paradigm shifts over the past 35 years of Frans’s career, and theory and application.
