Company visit to Friesland Campina

Have you ever wondered “What's next after my PhD? Could I find a job outside of academia, and if yes where?” Lucky for you, at the PE&RC Career Committee we organize our annual company visits where you can get the chance to learn about your potential future employers. 

This time, we will visit Friesland Campina on the WUR Campus to learn about the company and its efforts in making the dairy industry more sustainable. Our keynote speaker, Pablo Modernel obtained his PhD degree at WUR in the field of Livestock Farming Systems. He also worked as a postdoc WUR before embarking on his journey with Friesland Campina as a Farming Systems Research Specialist. Pablo will talk about his current role at the company and share his personal story of finding a job outside of academia. Along with Pablo, two other WUR alumni, Diana Dresselhuis Manager Expert Team Farm, Milk & Sustainability, and Jeroen Heck Milk Expert, both with 15+ years of work experience at Friesland Campina will tell us more about the company and the roles they fulfill there.
