PE&RC in the Spotlight: Kim Klaassen Bos

You are here

Hi, my name is Kim Klaassen Bos, one of the PhD programme assistants of the graduate school PE&RC since January this year. My job is to organize and assist my colleagues in setting up workshops, courses, symposia. I also make graduation certificates. Before starting here, I've been working at Dienst Landelijk Gebied as an ecologist for 9 years and after that 7 years at Stichting Kiemt as a project assistant Circular Economy. Now I'm part of the PE&RC team which is really nice!

What do you currently do to de-stress?
I love to be in the nature, admire and enjoying all the beautiful flora and fauna. That really makes me happy and peaceful. I also like to watch series, sing and dance.

What is a good book you've read recently?
I recently have read ‘Het zoudpad’ and ‘De wilde stilte’ from Raynor Winn, and ‘Van het pad af’ from Karin-Marijke Vis. I really enjoyed it and find it very inspiring.

If you could be any plant/animal what would you be, and why?
A raptor I think, but then a vegetarian one wink.

What have you been cooking lately?
My husband is a good cook so he often cooks smiley, but I do like to make simple sweets like banana chocolate bread, nut-fruit bread, dry fruit-nut balls and apple pie.

What is your favorite summer activity?
Swimming in and being in nature, walking alone and with friends, reading and listening books, campfires with guitar and singing, playing football and table tennis with my son.

Is there a podcast you would recommend?
Podcasts with conversations with Matthijs Schouten and (listen) books of Eckhart Tolle and Susan Smit.
