PE&RC Writing week

Scope

This week provides PhD candidates space and time to focus on the writing of a paper or a thesis chapter. Hence it is meant for those PE&RC PHD's who are in the process of writing a paper or thesis chapter. 

The five days will be structured in writing and possible feedback sessions and we will also have one or two workshops on effective writing and what to pay attention to.  Besides the (intensive) sessions there will also be time for relaxation during the day. A detailed programme will follow soon. 

Programme

Monday morning will be dedicated to the workshop about typical writing pitfalls such as procrastination, perfectionism, and information selection. The participants learn effective strategies for the different phases of the writing process (prepare, write, revise). Attention is also paid to dealing with feedback and managing the feedback you receive. The second workshop is on Wednesday morning when you have learn how to Reflect on your Writing and you have the opportunity to work 1-1 with. The rest of the week will be dedicated to writing and feedback sessions.
